Thanks for posting the bow and the arrows that Jay built. He certainly was a wonderful person as well as a craftsman.

Picked these up in a deal this weekend. Don't know much about them. Any info on reputation etc...appreciaed:

First pic (small one, sorry) on left is a Hilbre. I think the design of this is illegal here in Ohio. Middle one is reported to be a 1956 Trail Eze made in Dearborn, MI. The circular insert on it looks to be impossible to sharpen...at least for me.

The second pic shows a closer shot of the Trail Eze and a Bodkin. I received 7 of these Bodkins that look like great small game heads. I think they may be too narrow for deer in Ohio.

Just looking for any insight on them as I am not a broadhead collector but these are kind of neat.

Holy cow!! This is a really cool thread! I had some old broadheads but gave them all away at a shoot in Chester, Texas. An older gentleman was putting a collection together and was HAPPY to have them! Just a few days ago, I uncovered an old box of Shakespear arrows with broadheads on them. The price mared on the box was 1.50 ea. or 12 for $15.00. All 12 are there so maybe that was high priced for back then?lol

Here are some of the broadheads I got with the arrows that came with my Bear Grizzly. The PO ID'd them as Delta Snuffers (three blade) and Fred Bear Broadheads (two-bladers)

The arrows are very nicely done as well.

I'd love to. We'll see what work brings over the next month and if I can get time off (this is my first year on this job)

Here is a picture of the finished broadhead collection display cases that my Son Josh and I made a few years back. We had about 500 unique heads ( and quite a few duplicates)

The case on the left is filled with the old school tapered (glue on) points and go back as far as a 1939 Roy Case head and as current as a new Wensel Woodsman. The case on the right is filled with screw on heads starting at about 1970 to current.

Our oldest head is a 1939 Roy Case Korek.
