You asked for opinions so... I shoot the old fashion Zwickey Eskimo so-called 4 blade which is really a 2 blade with a couple small bleeder blades bent up. It will slip between any ribs and I have killed caribou, bear, and moose. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I have heard the VPA are excellent. But I have no experience with them. I prefer 2 blades. Especially for bows below #50.
I have shot several with 2 blades that just stood there after being shot. 3 blades are easier to sharpen though for most people.

Sounds like they are doing everything you ask of them. Glad to meet you, and welcome back!!!

a few things that come to mind:

Penetration is key, 2 holes are better than 1, When in doubt use a 2 blade.

If a marginal shot happens that does not hit heavy bone (gut shot or maybe large muscle shot) a big 3/4 blade would have an advantage.

If a marginal shot happens that does hit heavy bone, then a two blade, or particularly a single bevel BH, will have a theoretical advantage.

Real world practice may differ from theory to a degree, all shots are individual cases with unique circumstances.

All basic theory aside, I would shoot what head flew best and whatever one I felt good about in my gut at the time. I think instinct and confidence in you equipment is the most valuable. I carry more than one BH type in my quiver typically, and choose the one I think will work best for the task at hand. Too bad that task usually ends up to be a miss
