my views will start tomorrow, as I take Chezney out for youth season. He's big enough now at 14, I don't have to sit with him. Even though your allowed to hunt with any weapon during youth, he has chosen to take his wheel bow. Eventually he will be at the point he feels comfortable with trad gear. we are just not there yet with proficiency. I will sit in one of my stands about 100 yards for him with camera in hand. stay tuned pics to come. hopefully with him holding up a deer head

Man, I feel your excitement! I took my youngest out at 14 for his first wheelie hunt with his new Christmas present for that year...seems a very long time ago now as he is nearly 30!
Good luck to both of you! And don't sweat the trad thing, if it happens it happens. The important thing is you and your son bowhunting!

Nice cool morning with light rain, saw deer at a distance but didn't have an 80 yard pin! Planning to return this evening.

Man it got HOT this afternoon. I was out shooting and it was uncomfortable in the sun. Suppose to get even hotter over the next 2 days...then a cold front hits!
