Plain brown field mice. However, one had a dark coat; quite exotic.
Oh, and those traps? Victor. The very best.

Lol Kirk!
Blue.....when a hide hasn't begun to take on thicker leather so the hair roots show through from the inner surface of the pelt, and it causes the pelt to appear a blueish hue. These are virtually worthless in the fur trade. A Blue pelt is the opposite end of the spectrum from a Prime pelt.
I was hoping you'd chime in on this thread Jim! Guys you all may not realize it, but Jim is an accomplished trapper and fur worker.

Lol! I've skinned them believe it or not! Always to just get a laugh though....
Here is a perfectly healthy female bobber we had targeted...
...but we were shocked she was as healthy as she was because she was so darn old she literally had no teeth. In her stomach we found whole rats and mice she was catching and swallowing whole. Bobbers can sometimes approach 20 yrs old. But to be fair we have seen other cats with perfect teeth swallow some unbelievably large wood rats whole too though. As a side note, this cat had been living for probably years, on an extremely popular public ground area that see's pretty much daily activity. She had it figured out!
