Now that looks good. I'm wanting to try to duplicate a Sicilian tomato sauce that a little old world restaurant uses on their pizzas. I grew up in a Brooklyn neighborhood with many Italians and have always loved their cooking. This is a sweet sauce loaded with flavors that fade when it cools. I'm looking for a rich tomato paste called "Strattu" to add to a 106 oz can of Famoso Imported whole peeled Italian tomatoes in a rich puree with basil leaf. I seem to always come back to those tomatoes rather than crushed, fresh or anything else I have found so far. I really hate to ask them for their family recipe and enjoy trying to get close on my own.
Our home church sees more of us using Facebook Messenger so that we can see and hear each other online. My wife and I have been using that feature for months now since she can no longer get out of bed. During the message or discussion, we may all ask questions or add to the discussion or message as we are led to. I too, really miss being there in person. Occasionally on a Wed night I'll leave my wife for a few hours and join with my brothers and sisters in person. Likewise when they are in town they'll stop by for a visit though right now that's probably not a good idea.
I've been using this time to finally dig into the Old Testament. Sometimes I'll read it from the Bible itself in one of the many translations and then again from The Expositor's Study Bible KJV that has a running commentary mixed in with the verses by Jimmy Swaggart using the many scholars that he has read behind rather then his own opinions to form the commentary. I'm amazed at the added insights I'm receiving after years of mostly focusing on only the New Testament. I wish now that I'd taken my Pastor's advice and began reading from both down through the years we have been together.
Our county, which includes the Capitol with over 100,000 has only 7 known cases so far. Testing has been very minimal with less than 100 done.
