Actually that is a train track.
Captainkirk: "Very likely. I've avoided testing it out for the most part. Due to the weather this season, there is standing water in most of it. That's why it would be such a good idea to scout when it's all frozen."
I suppose if the ground absorbs most of the water and it's not a skating rink, you will be ok scouting. You don't want to fall on the ice and break something while you are out there alone though.
