Goin elk hunting

Went hunting today on the coast range.Of course mother nature picks today to throw a storm at us.The wind was 40 mph on the valley floor,we were at 2000ft..Wind was easily 60 mph or better.Got a rush when i walked down an old logging road and ran into a great big black bear face to face at about 15yds.Things coulda went very wrong quick.Saw elk sign but the wind had them hunkered down in the timber.Still fun times though.

15 Yards facing a bear; now that would be hard on the wash woman getting those pants clean!

I also was on the coast last weekend.
In Washington State, not open until the 12th or this one would have been punctured..
Was looking for a bear though...
