Re: Trapping and Fur Trade
A few days ago I got a message from my sister she was losing chickens and her cats to coyotes. One big giant male was coming right up in their back yard and they been seeing up to 5 around.. I'd of just killed the sucker then and there but her and her husband aren't accustomed to that kinda thing. So I went out and set up 6 foothold sets on her 80 acres. I did 4 flat sets and 2 dirt hole sets. Took 3 days for a hit. Pic and a vid.

I have to say, that is the most vocal yote I have ever seen in a trap. I've had em growl and throw out a subdued bark, but nothing even close to what this gal did.

I'm laying odds he did!Captainkirk wrote:Did you shut her pie-hole?
I just got through building 100 snares for a guy that had his turkey killed by a coyote a couple weeks ago. He's going out after them full force this year.

Let's just say the sucker won't be eating any more of my sister's cats or chickens...

Good deal, Jase. Yotes are the cockroaches of the wilderness.

Caught this odd eyed yote. Almost the same crystal blue color of a husky dog, though its hard to pic up in the pics.
