I actually seen some icy rain, sleet balls, and even a flake or 2 today though only briefly. Dropping down to 24 tonight here in the Sunflower State.
The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.

Reminds me of winter time in the coal mines. Went underground before daylight and quit after dark. Sure makes you hungry for the weekends! ;)

Light rain scheduled for tomorrow. However hunting days are so rare here for this busy guy the show must go on. Waxed my string and went out for some light rain pratice. The grizzly is getting the nod for tomorrow.

Grizzly is a 2016 45lb at 28. 58” long. Will and I will be spending the entire day in Tunica Hills wildlife management area that is bow hunt only.

Arrows are bear paw Douglas fur shafts stained ebony with tung oil finish. Feathers are 3"shield cut from bear paw archery and using zwickey eskimo 125-grain two blade broadheads.

Your Bear mirrors mine except mine is a '71/'72 model. I would have sworn those arrows were carbons. Can you maybe take some pix and talk about them in the arrows section? I'm diggin' 'em... 8-)

Cold, too. Froze my ass off fueling our Falcon. Began raining on the drive home, supposed to continue overnight through tomorrow.
