The TRADHUNTER Challenge!

#1 Post by Captainkirk »

Yep, it's been mighty quiet around here lately. I get it; it's summertime. Vacations, yard work, Honey-Do lists, fishing, boating, motorcycling....and the list goes on!
So, I'd like to issue the following challenge to you members, to keep us active and happenin'.....
1) Stop by at least once a day between now and the end of the month. Before work, during lunch, after dinner or before bed. If only for 5 minutes!
2) Make a post. Just one (unless you're a blabbermouth like some of us here). If you can't think of any topic-starters, then just post a response to an existing post. Even if just to agree or disagree with the poster. Buy something new? Snap a quick photo and post it here. Got a question about something? Post it! The only dumb question is the one unasked. Stub your toe? Tell us about how freakin' awful it hurts! Really! It doesn't take much to carry a conversation!
This is the thread, boys. Let's see how many of you are up to the challenge!

For what it's worth, I DID stub my toe last week and man, did it hurt. Took me half an hour to get back to sleep.

Howdy. I already stop by daily, several times a day usually, sometimes I read and sometimes I post something. But I'm here.

Well, that's the two remaining blabbermouths accounted for.
How about the rest of you?

I saw a women driving through town the other day texting and it made me so damn mad I rolled my window down and threw my beer can at her.

I stop by at least once a day, usually just after 6 AM. I like to see if there are active threads going that I am interested in.

Checking in. I'm usually on here a couple times a day, but alas, I'm a man of few words.

As far as news, Heading up to Mosport/Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (http://canadiantiremotorsportpark.com) - it's a race track north of Toronto and from what I've been told, it's one of the best/most difficult circuits in North America - for the weekend. Every Father's Day they put on a Vintage Racing Festival. $30 (CDN) per guest lands you admission, pit passes and camping for the weekend! And kids under 16 are free! Can't beat that deal!

Needless to say, I've been spending my week digging out and prepping the trailer, making sure the tow car is good to go, etc. And I won't be around for the weekend. All while my daughter has been recovering from a stomach bug.

My hard cider that I brew is finished and ready to be bottled - I'm thinking of installing it to the water cooler that I never use. Nothing like chilled cider on tap! It's potent stuff, too - I accidentally let it do a bit too long and it fermented absolutely perfectly. I had to have a chemist/brewer friend of mine confirm my calculation of alcohol content, and it's somewhere between 19-23% ! No bubbles though...kind of sad about that, but I can serve it with club soda to bring it back down to "normal" levels and add some fizz!
