Mechanical contraptions

#1 Post by Captainkirk »

Cars, boats, motorcycles, 4-wheelers/ATV's, toasters (OK, maybe that's stretching it); we all have one or more, and some of us enjoy them. Show us yours, and tell us the story!

Been a busy week (whew!) but one thing I managed to get done was pull the bikes out of mothballs as this has been the first decent weather we've had this year...dragged out my old '85 Nighthawk "S", cleaned up up a little and managed to squeeze in a few rides. Feels good to be back in the saddle.

This one is called "Lazarus" because like it's namesake, it was pretty much dead and buried when I got it...and raising it from the dead was somewhat of a miracle. A couple exhaust valves, carb clean and sync, a few hundos in parts, and a whole lotta elbow grease later, it's still a blast to ride.

Here is a photo of my '99 Buell M2 Cyclone. I've had some good times on this as well..

This one has been dubbed "Buellosaurusrex" because...well, you get the idea, right? 8-)

Here's my latest contraption. I figured now I am retired I would start riding. I just got back from a 12 mile ride my longest ride so far.
