Gathered around the food pile

#1 Post by Carpdaddy »

I have mentioned this before but I have a friend who puts out corn and other things continually. He also has three cams out that sends the picture to an app on your phone as soon as it takes it. My phone is just one of the many it sends too. I enjoy looking at the number of Deer, coins, etc, that gather st these places. I thought this picture was a unique one...

That IS unique! Deer, coon, and gray fox all in a pic! Thanks for sharing!

Many aren't aware of the high plant matter diet that gray fox prefer. Looks like a wild dog so it should eat mainly meat right? Wrong! These canines blow away any other N American canine in the love of plant based food.

Now my biggest question....is this near his stand? Has he seen this buck near his stand yet?

Okay I went back and checked the picture dates. The trail Cam picture is 10/31/17, he sent me the picture of his kill on 10/21/17, not same Deer. Picture was Muzzleloader season and he is wearing orange so I probably don’t need to ask him.

By the way: we only get one Buck tag in Ky so he is done here. He is going to Ohio for a week hunt starting this weekend. Called and offered to take me along all expenses paid! I went with him last year but declined this year.

That is a great buck, and looks to be pretty close to the trail cam buck. Call me crazy but my favorite critter in that pic is the grey fox at this point. Them lil devils are cool! They have eluded me so far, but one day maybe I'll catch one.
