I'm considering trading one of my recurves for a Fox Royal Crown longbow. The bow arrived in yesterdays mail and I just had to "bend those limbs" a little bit. This bow is 64" long and I'm pretty sure that the woods in the riser are either cocobolo and osage or cocobolo and canary wood.........the limb veneers are myrtle. This bow is a flat out "performer".........I couldn't believe how hard it shot for only being 48# @ 28". I am drawing it to 29 3/4".......but it really humps an arrow downrange.
I found the grip to be very repeatable and very friendly to the way I shoot. Has anyone else had any experiences with one of Ron Kings bows ??? I'm hoping the guy that I am trading with is as happy with the recurve as I am with this longbow. If not, we will swap back. I was just curious as to what other people think about the Fox line of bows.

Re: Fox Royal Crown Longbow ???
I've owned a Royal Crown and a Triple Crown. I think they are well designed and built bows. When I shot a Toelke Whip I now own a Whip though. Just personal preference but I love the Whip's grip over the Fox.

Re: Fox Royal Crown Longbow ???
I recieved the Fox longbow last week and took it out to the club for a "test drive". I was impressed with the bows speed and it hits with authority. Absolutely NO handshock and the arrows hit where I was looking. Without knowing anything about the person that originally ordered the bow, like draw length, it was kinda a little on the "stiff" side in drawing (read that as front loaded). It was still very smooth and I am happy with the bow. If the guy that I swapped with is as happy as I am.......we'll consider this a done deal.
I can most definately see another Ron King bow in my future.

Don, Those Royal's are super bows and Ron King is one fine fella to boot. Whatever the swap was, you did real good getting the Fox.
