Jamesh76 arrow build
Re: Jamesh76 arrow build
For these arrows, I used a walnut stain with a natural cap. I tape off the arrow at 7 1/2 " from the end and stain them. From here, I will let them completely dry about 2 days. I want to ensure there is no moisture in the shaft when I seal them. I will continue to check straightness and adjust as needed over the next 2 days. Make sure to fold your tape over so it's easier to grab an edge and remove.

Excellent. Nice refresher coarse. It would make a good sticky for when I tackle the few dozen that have been here for years. The one thing that really took me off guard was using a pruner to cut them. I would never have ever guessed that would make a clean, straight cut.
Straightening wood shafts is harder for me than getting the kids to pick up their rooms.
I like the pulley thing. Years ago, Dale at Three Rivers showed me how he uses the heel of his palm. Guess I haven't straightened as many arrow as he has cause all I do is frustrate myself.

Jesus replaces the old covenant and speaks to the believer the moral code of God by His Spirit directly to the heart. He is the eternal, everlasting revelation of God to mankind. In Him is both the knowledge of righteousness and the power to live right.

It dont always give a clean cut
However, your tapering the end anyways. Sometimes you have to square the end though. Depending on the point or head the taper may not always touch at the end.

Here is the 3 dishes and feathers after 2 minutes in the microwave laid out to dry. The whole process took maybe 5 minutes. It will take a few days for them.to dry and puff back up.
