Carp’s going huntin!

#1 Post by Carpdaddy »

 Tomorrow is opening day here in Ky!
Lord willing I plan to be out there in a tree tomorrow. Missing last season has me double fired up about this season. Not very strong but thankfully I am able to hunt some. Today is spray clothes for ticks, touch up broadheads, and check sights! To add to my excitement the weather is supposed to take a nice drop in temps! Everyone is excited around here except the wifey, she says oh no, I’m a widow again! Lol

And no Kirk, that’s not the wife, that’s her company while I’m gone!
He is excited to get all the petting from her and no having to share her attention with me!

It did make me pause for a moment :?

Good luck out there. My favorite hunt was when I went out praying, I'd rather hear from you today Lord than to even shoot a deer. That morning He showed me where the first two deer would come out and I rejoiced when they did. I didn't shoot those because I was shown where I could hunt but for reasons of my own, I didn't go to those spots. Oh, I did shoot a deer that day also. It was a bit easier than normal, I had my inline muzzleloader with me. ;)
Jesus replaces the old covenant and speaks to the believer the moral code of God by His Spirit directly to the heart. He is the eternal, everlasting revelation of God to mankind. In Him is both the knowledge of righteousness and the power to live right.

I like that Grizz!! Nothing compares to a word from the Lord!
Today I decided I wanted to use a quiver on my bow again, but one I could snap off in the stand, got several that fasten on limbs. I remember liking the three arrow Kwikee Kwivers quite well so I went to the local outdoor place to pick one up. What joy; they only had PINK! Lol But I’m not one to be hindered by small things like that, so I bought it. Wasn’t about to drill holes in my newly finished riser so I used double sided tape. Found some that has been laying around here for many years and decided to try it. I noticed it said permanent, I thought naw. That stuff is serious! After putting it on I wanted to move it a inch up, not happening without a fight, so left it alone. Shot some and it worked very well. Ain’t she purdy!

I have never thought about using double sided tape for a quiver. I learn a lot from you old timers😃

I actually was thinking that before I read further down.

Mark hunted a stand we hadn’t been to in a good while. He said these old weeds were taking it over, plans to go back and dig them all up!
