Nice pair of deer you got there Jim.................I take it we are looking at almost identical exit wounds? Good shooting!
Re: 2011 Harvest Thread
Sorry, no pics to share of a doe I took last weekend, but I can't say enough on how well Jim's Big Game head works. NASTY!

Great job Jim! Our season start on the 15th of this month for the South zone of our state. Will be using the new Centaur you built for me this year.

Re: 2011 Harvest Thread
Got done videoing the other day so on the way back to the truck, I spotted some feeding does. The frost had melted that morning and made stalking very quiet. I got within 10 yards of a yearling and decided not to shoot. She meandered around within a 10 to 15 yards proximity of me and the other deer started filtering over towards she and I. The first doe seemed concerned about this yearling so I passed her as she slipped through the 15 yeard window I had. The second doe was not as lucky! Here she is! I put a Big Game Head right behind her shoulder and she made it about 75 yards in roughly 5 seconds and crashed. The other deer jumped and ran about 20 yards looking at eachother and eventually just walked off towards the bedding grounds as if they had no idea what happened. Although this hunt was not on video, it sure felt good to sneak up on the herd like that and put a perfect shot on an unsuspecting doe!
