giant sized traditional bow build/buy.

Hello fellas,
I've been looking into getting in shooting and building traditional bows for awhile now, and I've been running into a few probs that most people don't run into, and a few that most do. For starters I am very tall and lankey. That alone makes buying any bow difficult. I am 6 foot 5in and I have a 36in draw. That makes buying arrows and absolute pain in the butt. Also there seems to be a great deal of controversy over how tall a bow should be for the shooter. I been leaning toward longbows, and it seems that a bow should be within about 3 inches of the shooter heighth. Not seeing too much in the way of 75in bows out there for sale. These issues are makeing me lean towards building a self bow. But as haveing never done that befoe its kinda of a daunting project. If I were to build one, I believe I would lean toward a simple staff bow with a d shaped crossection backed in leather. Some concerns I have with this are what type of wood I should use, poundage I should shoot for, and where in gods green earth to get hunting arrows for the beast. I ultimately want to hunt bear with this thing. Also I found that though I am right handed, I am left eye dominant. So should I shoot a left handed bow, or keep one-eyeing-it right handed? I know this is a very broad post, but any guidance would b e much appreciated. Trying to be cost effective about this.
